Thomas G. Foley, Jr., a founding partner, is an acknowledged expert on loan workouts and settlements of disputed loans. In addition to his expertise in the lending area, Tom has extensive experience in complex business and mass tort litigation. As one of the firms primary litigators, Tom has negotiated over $50 million in workouts and settlements and has obtained judgments in excess of $10 million. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1975 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit; U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California; and the U.S. Tax Court.
Tom is a 1975 graduate of Notre Dame Law School, where he was a Notes Editor of the Notre Dame Law Review. He is the author of Loan Negotiations and Workouts: Strategies for Maximizing the Developers Leverage, The Journal of Real Estate Development, Winter, 1989, and is the co-author of Workouts Relieve Lenders of Alleged Past Improprieties, Savings Institutions, May, 1988. |
